MS-28 Facade Sealant is classified to EN 15651-1: EXT-INT-CC 25HM for interior and exterior use. This MS-polymer facade joint sealant is designed for durable, elastic sealing of vertical and horizontal joints in construction, facade and structural applications. It is free of isocyanates, solvents and silicones.
What joint dimensions are recommended for MS-28?
MS-28 can be used in vertical and horizontal joints with a width of 10 to 30 mm, depending on the expected movement of the substrate. We recommend a width-to-depth ratio of 1:0.8 for floor joints and 2:1 for wall applications. Porous substrates can be pre-treated with a suitable primer if needed, and lightly sanding certain smooth substrates improves adhesion.
How fast does MS-28 Facade Sealant cure?
MS-28 is fast-curing, with a skin formation time of 10 minutes at 23 °C and 50% RH and a cure depth of 3 mm after 24 hours at 20 °C and 50% RH. Once cured it offers high mechanical resistance, with a Shore A hardness of 52 and a tensile strength of 2.2 MPa. Standard colours are white and concrete grey, with other colours available on request.
