MS-35 Glazing Sealant was developed as a universal glazing sealant in line with NEN 3576 / NPR 3577. It is classified to EN 15651-1: F-EXT-INT-CC 25HM, EN 15651-2: G-CC 25HM and EN 15651-3: S XS2. This covers facade, glazing and sanitary joints.
Which types of glazing can this MS-polymer glazing sealant be used with?
This MS-polymer glazing sealant is suitable for laminated, single, double, burglar-resistant and self-cleaning glass, as well as polycarbonate. Because manufacturers can change the composition of insulating glass edge seals without notice, compatibility advice is based on experience and cannot be guaranteed. We therefore always recommend an adhesion and compatibility test, especially on polycarbonate, mirrors, natural stone and insulating glass.
Can MS-35 Glazing Sealant be painted over?
Yes, it can be painted with most water-based and synthetic paint systems, although painting is not necessary. If you do paint it, we advise lightly sanding the sealant and adjacent parts first and always carrying out a paint compatibility test. The sealant is neutral-curing, virtually odourless and non-corrosive to metals.
